The Planning Board is responsible for providing policy, ordinance, and development proposal recommendations to the City Council.
The Planning Board workload as an advisory body includes:
Land Development District Map amendment petitions (re-zoning)
Land Development Ordinance text amendment petitions
Conditional District Overlay petitions
Special Use Permit applications
The Planning Board convenes twice per month in different capacities:
The first meeting (2nd Tuesday) addresses zoning amendments, LDO text amendments, and Special Use Permits (SUPs).
The second meeting (4th Tuesday) addresses zoning amendments (including Conditional Districts), SUPs, and other TRC-reviewed site plans.
Regular board meetings are held at 217 South Main Street in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
