When I started at Salisbury Fire Department I had 3-4 years of prior service at my volunteer fire department, so I was relatively new to the fire service. I have now been employed by the Salisbury Fire Department for over 3 years and have learned a lot in that time.

I have seen this department go through tough times, seeing up close and personal the loss of 2 great men and how this department came together like a family during such a difficult time."Our department offers state of the art equipment from the trucks and rescue tools to the confined space and rope rescue equipment.". I have seen our department go through good changes, like changing tactics to be sure we are doing this job in the safest manner. There are a lot of great people in this department, from the chiefs and captains that are very knowledgeable in the fire service, to engineers and firefighters that work incredibly hard and are always willing to help one another.

Salisbury Fire Department is a great place to learn new things, train hard, and have fun doing it. It's more than a job, it's a lifestyle. The department now has a fire academy one will attend every 5 weeks and train on everything from catching hydrants for time to size-up's and building construction. Our department offers state of the art equipment from the trucks and rescue tools to the confined space and rope rescue equipment. If you are looking for a great and challenging career in the fire service and willing to put in the hard work and time, I encourage you to consider employment with the Salisbury Fire Department.
