City of Salisbury Officially Transfer Fire Tanker to Rowan County Emergency Services |

Salisbury, NC, July 1, 2005 – Salisbury Mayor Susan W. Kluttz ceremoniously handed over the keys to a 1988 Mack/Grumman Fire Tanker to Rowan County Officials at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Salisbury City Hall, 217 South Main Street. On June 21 City Council declared the Fire Tanker as surplus and approved its transfer to Rowan County Emergency Services for use as a foam tanker at the Rowan County Airport. The 3,000 gallon tanker will be available to provide fire suppression assistance to all of the fire departments throughout Rowan County.
