Salisbury Fire Department

Salisbury Fire Sends 3 to help in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
The Salisbury Fire department in a joint effort with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office and Rowan County Rescue Squad send personnel to the town of Loveland Mississippi and Hancock County, Mississippi. Captain Tim Hurlocker, Captain Jeff Youngblood and FCS Tristan Turner of the Salisbury Fire Department responded with this task force. Their primary role was for Search & Rescue and body recovery. Overall they were deployed for 11 days. They took 2 heavy duty trucks, one being a Haz-Mat truck with some Haz-mat equipment. The two Captains are also Haz-Mat technicians..
