The Salisbury Fire Department extinguished a single-family house fire at 507 Sunset Dr. There was no one at home at the time of the outbreak of the fire. Passerby's called the fire in. There were neither civilian causalities nor firefighter injuries. Several pets could not be saved from the effects of the fire. The time of the fire was at 10:21 AM. . 3 stations with 3 quints, a tanker and a rescue pumper responded as well as the Shift Commander 501 and LPI Safety 509. Locke FD provided Rapid Intervention Team staffing. South Salisbury, Rockwell City, Spencer, China Grove and Granite Quarry Fire Departments helped to cover empty Salisbury Fire Stations for other calls for service. Fire Staff consisting of Battalion Chief Currie Butler, LPI Inspector/Investigator Stevens and the Projects Analyst assisted command in the incident. The fire is under investigation by LPI Captain Stevens. |
