I received a Park and Recreation Maintenance Management Certification through North Carolina State University in 1992. I operated my own lawn care business for 18 years and have numerous certificates in lawn care, landscaping and management.

I have been married to my wife Kathy for 32 years. We both enjoy hunting and just sharing time together. I have two sons, Jeremy age 28 and Chris age 25. I have one grandchild, Addile, 6 months. My hobbies are preparing to hunt year round, hunting and just spending time with my wife and family.

On October 16, 2003 I was hired by the Salisbury Parks and Recreation Department as a maintenance supervisor. My job title is Athletic Field Maintenance Supervisor for the Salisbury Community Park. This 300+ acre facility offers many challenges. I am fortunate to have a well trained, eager to do it right the first time staff who always puts the customer first. It is a pleasure to work with Ron, Raymond, Jimmy, Karl and our part time employee Nathan. My entire staff is dedicated to preparing our facility to the highest standards possible for each and every event. Whether it is little league baseball, NSA softball tournaments, youth and adult soccer, cross country events for middle school through college levels or Cyclo-cross bike racing, we take pride in our facility as a team.
